by Joe Buckovic
I was a career police officer and wanted to capture in print many of the experiences which appear in my mind’s eye today as vividly as when they took place.
Life in the 1960s and early 1970s came with plenty of its own challenges. How I handled growing up in a small town was one. Being handicapped early in life and learning to overcome it was another. Then my life started heading in a completely different direction. Except for a few good people in my life, I wouldn’t be the same person I am today..
All accounts of my life are factual. Only the names of people have been fictionalized for privacy. Funny thing, though, if anyone really knows me and reads this book, they will immediately identify all the people involved.
If you do recognize anything, please don’t say you know me.
