One evening leaving work at the law firm Dunbar, Engels, and Quinn, Alison Caldwell and her friend, Lakeesha Ellis find a lawyer shot dead on the doorstep. Alison discovers the man’s death is like other drive-by shootings plaguing Center City Philadelphia over a nineteen-year span.
