About the Author

Keith Abbott was raised on the Navajo Indian Reservation in New Mexico. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he graduated with a BA degree from the University of Northern Colorado, then a law degree from Ohio Northern University. He spent the next 37 years practicing law in Colorado, the majority of which was in the oil and gas industry.

In his career, he has contributed to the drilling, production, and operation of over 500 oil and gas wells from three different oil companies. He has also handled litigation, including two high-stakes murder trials.

Keith Abbott’s first novel, The Spill, won a 2023 Silver Royal Palm Literary Award from the Florida Writers Association for Best Book Thriller-Sci-Fi blend.

Mr. Abbott is affiliated with multiple literary groups, including Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers and the Florida Writers Association. Currently, he lives in Florida where he continues his passions of bicycling and storytelling.
