About the Author
Barbara was born and raised in New York, USA. She earned a B.A in English from College of Mt. St. Vincent, Riverdale, NY. The year after graduation, Barbara went on a one- week vacation to Nassau, Bahamas. She met a Bahamian man who she married the following year. Their grandchildren now play on beaches of pure white sand and tumble and swim about in the Bahamian sea’s waves, just as their parents did.
“Santa’s Secret Island” is Barbara’s first published book. There has never been a time when she has not wanted to be a writer of children’s stories.
Although Barbara has yet to see one for herself, she believes in the existence of merfolk and always keeps her eyes peeled for them whenever she’s near, in, or on the ocean.
