Book 1Reviving George Washington begins in 1798, Washington, DC, as President George Washington seeks to find what happened to the remains of a close friend. His investigation leads him to two doctors who have been experimenting with ancient Egyptian compounds once used to preserve the great pharaohs, a precursor to cryogenics today. An elaborate plan is put in place with Washington’s newfound friends to ensure a chance to become part of the future of the country he helped create. The second part of the book takes place in the year 2025, as attempts are made to revive the bodies of the ancient preserved ones.

Book 2Transforming George Washington picks up where Book 1 leaves off in the year 2025, when George Washington and his faithful servant, Frank Khamisi, have been fully revived after being preserved for over two centuries by the Egyptian chemicals. Now Dr. Palidore Montgomery and his assistant, Lynn Radford, face the daunting task of bringing their clients up to date on everything that has occurred during the past 226 years. What they don’t realize, nor could have planned for, is the fact that the first president has his own agenda. Things spiral out of control when a vehicular accident results in George and Frank being separated from their handlers and on their own.

Book 3The Rise of George Washington Book Three – Some 226 years have passed since George and Frank were last living on their own, but they successfully make their way to West Virginia to start their lives over again. Their efforts to establish a timber enterprise bring them into conflict with a Chinese company attempting to control the entire timber business in the state. Book 4 The Return of George Washington picks up where Book 3 leaves off. Everyone knows George Washington’s famous name, but not that he has been revived 226 years after his death in 1799, the first president of the United States of America. Now living near Washington, D.C., he has been appointed to fill a vacant seat in Congress. George begins making moves that get the nation’s attention, placing him in a unique position of power. A storm brews among the Republican and Democratic leaders who see him as a threat to their long established hold on government. Then the most unusual alliances are formed in a plot to destroy Washington, and anyone else who gets in their way. However, George ’s new version of his famous Culper Ring alerts him to dangers swirling around him. As he confronts the persistence of Jason Miles, a little known historian obsessed with revealing Washington’s true identity, Washington realizes his new life is in danger. Unbelievable as it is, the return of George Washington changes everything.

About the Author

Gil Hudson is a retired attorney from Virginia who now resides in The Villages, Florida. For many years, he was actively involved in politics having served as a local party chairman and as a delegate to the 1980 Republican Party National Convention during which Ronald Reagan was nominated to run for President of the United States. 

He stepped back from politics to accept a substitute judgeship but his interest in politics and history never waned. He often wondered how our forefathers might view the state of our country today. 

This curiosity was the impetus for his writing the historical fiction POTUS 1 series. Artfully written, the reader has an option of reading all the novels either sequentially or independently.
