Rooster!

Amusing Tales of an Iowa Farmboy

by G.G. Lentz

Growing up, Gerry Lentz was a Chechoslovakian farm boy who lived with his family, some 200 roosters and over 500 chickens on a 160-acre home place in northeastern Iowa. His mother, aunts, and sisters learned cooking from his grandmother and her old world heirloom recipes found in this book. The women cooked delectable meats and Czech pastries, jams, jellies, and much more. Gerry ate his way through childhood, and loved it all!

His tales are remembered from age four to fifteen in this coming-of-age memoir. Some tales are incredibly funny while others are downright unbelievable!

It takes guts and grit to grow up on a farm. The question becomes: Could YOU do it?
