From the Flames of Cimbri

Part of the Cimbri Series

by Ron Miller

Cimbri’s joy of their victory over Valkyrie forces is short-lived as jealousy raises its ugly head. Cracks form in the new country’s solidarity as a horrendous betrayal by a trusted ally causes King John of Denmark to take drastic measures. It is a race to see who destroys Cimbri first:  the Valkyries, or themselves from within.

Although the clouds of Armageddon crept toward Cimbri, life went on; babies were born and love permeated the air. Even the stoic head spy, Dietrich had succumbed to its fragrance. All went well until word came that “Valkyrie has attacked Romania and is heading toward Russia and Cimbri with 300,000 men!”

Lord Raganald, Overseer of Cimbri, stared out the window for a moment. Then turning toward his war council, said, “300,00! How do we stop that many? Not at the fortress walls like last time.”

About the Author

Ron Miller, a disabled, twenty-seven-year army veteran, spent most of the 1980s and 90s in Germany. While wandering throughout the countryside, observing the beautiful castles and listening to the haunting tales from the local storytellers, an idea for a book started forming in his mind.

It wasn’t until learning of his family’s involvement in the 1488 Battle of Saint-Aubins-du-Cormier, in central France, that he realized this was the core event needed to launch his series. Drawing upon his own experiences and from people near him, words started flowing until he had created not only one book, but three.

These books are the kind that a man or woman can sit back with a cup of coffee, tea, hot chocolate – or even Three Fingers of Irish Whiskey, and bury themselves into their words. Although all three books can be read as a continuous series, each can be read as a stand-alone.
