Jolly Roger Girls

by J. R. Garcy

Skylar’s desire to become a fashion model leads her to numerous encounters with some very duplicitous characters. From her blackmailing and selective prostitution days of her senior year in high school, to working as a waitress/entertainer showing off her body in a skimpy pirate’s costume, she maintains control of her own destiny.

Just when she thinks she’s finally on her way to a lucrative career working for a modeling agency, she becomes the number one suspect in the murder of her former boss. With no one to help clear her name, she ‘s forced to go it alone. She uncovers enough information on five people to establish multiple motives for the murder. However, proving who did will be . . . almost impossible.

About the Author

I taught high school English and Literature for 25 years in Pennsylvania. I’ve always wanted to write but never had enough time. Retirement afforded me that opportunity. Toward that end, I’ve joined Florida Authors and Publishers (FAPA), the Florida Writers Association (FWA), and the Writers League of the Villages. I’ve written three books so far: Morgan’s Revenge–2018, Morgan’s Empire–2019, and Jolly Roger Girls–2020. I’m currently working on my fourth book: Mirror, Mirror.  I won the Silver Award in the Adult Contemporary Fiction category from FAPA in 2018. I live in Osceola Hills at Soaring Eagle with my wife Janet and we both love to travel and meet new people. I write under the pseudonym of J.R. Garcy. I enjoy creating characters similar to people I’ve met in life.
