Faces of the Distinguished Flying Cross of Central Florida Second Edition: In Their Own Words

Each chapter is written by the man who earned that award, documented with individual Citations or Orders.

by Joseph R. Finch et al

In this Second Edition of compelling first-person accounts. These are the stories of 26 more young men who earned the Distinguished Flying Cross while performing missions in support of their fellow men.

Whether serving in the Army, Navy, Army Air Corps, Air Force, or Marines, these crewmen found the guts, focus, and poise to perform acts of courage while under enemy fire as they attempted to support their comrades in arms and the interests of the United States.

Each account goes on to tell a little about their lives after the war, how they lived and contributed to society well into retirement years.

This follows the First Edition which tells of another 24 heros: In Their Own Words.  Also available on our Book Bonanza pages.
